James R. Geist, D.D.S., M.S., Director of the University of Detroit Mercy's Dental Program has reccomended that I apply to your dental office. In high school I started my dental journey by enrolling into the Jackson Area Career Center's dental program. Since my graduation in 2016, I applied to the dental hygiene program at UDM in 2017 and after finishing my program with honors I applied to the University's Dental School. 

 

My career goal is to become a cosmetic dentist. I am looking to gain experience in your office and I would be proud to work under your practice. During my time spent in the Dental Occupations class, I had experience with four-handed dentistry,  dental lab procedures, asepsis, medical and dental terminology, and also OSHA training, after high school in my hygiene program I built my knowledge of dental radiography, prophylaxis. When I was in dental school I learned dental anatomy down to each specific cusp and learned restorative techniques and also dental surgery. I feel I am best suited for this position because I am a hardworking, determined, and responsible worker. I also work well with others and I have job experience and I would like to gain even more, especially in my future career.
